1. What three words best define you?
Motivated, Passionate, Visionary

2. What is the one thing that you couldn’t live without?
My yoga/meditation practice…and a great glass of Cabernet!

3. What is the greatest challenge you have overcome in your life?
Moving to a new location where I didn’t know anyone, starting a new job, having 3 significant surgeries after a car accident, turning 50 and then getting my house broken into all within the same year.  I’ll never do that again!  : )

4. Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
I had the privilege of teaching yoga for 6 weeks in Tulum, Mexico.  I learned a lot about life through many diverse people that came to my classes and I became friends with the locals that taught me about the land and the history there.  The magic of Tulum is said to be a healing space. I felt that as I was there sleeping under the stars on the sand of the Gulf of Mexico!

5. What is your favorite food?
Anything with great coffee or great red wine.

 6. What would you most like to tell yourself at age 18?
I would tell myself that you cannot control all that happens to you so let go of the reins and Live the life that you want to, without the fear and doubts.  I tried for way too many years to control my life. I got down on myself way too often and took on way too much responsibility for other people’s happiness.

7. What is the best book you have ever read?
A Course In Miracles/A Return to Love….that’s 2 books, I know – but Return to Love is actually the description for Course In Miracles.

8. What is your guilty pleasure?
Hmmm, I’m not sure I can share that!!  LOL, well, one of my guilty pleasures is learning about and drinking great red wines.

9. What do you most enjoy about working for NuVista Living®️?
I enjoy the fact that NuVista is passionate about being the best in the healthcare field.  I work passionately, and want to be surrounded by other Thoroughbreds in my life that want to be better.  NuVista embodies that same mentality and the staff all have the passion to work at being the best in their respective departments.  The business is helping people heal and I love being a part of that healing and knowing that I added to a person’s life every day.

10. What is your proudest moment at NuVista Living®️?
I have many – but the best one was when I helped a guest that was very depressed over his health and also was mourning the recent loss of his wife.  After listening to him for quite some time, I reminded him of the good things and people that he had in his life still.  I reminded him that his condition was temporary and that his wife would want him to live the remaining time he had, happy. He began crying and I felt that the rest of the conversation was a healing step for him.  The next day when I saw him in the Dining Hall he hugged me and told me that he really needed my “tough love”.  He told me that he really believes that I was his angel for showing him a light that he had not been able to see since his wife passed.  The reward of helping someone in their dark hour is what I believe is one of my gifts.  The fact that I can share the gifts here means a lot to me.
